Tim Barber photographs scenes
and events in his daily life that capture an atmosphere, at
times wistful or sharply beautiful, that etches into the mind
of the viewer to leave a lasting impression.
In the contemporary photography book "SHOOT" (Rizzoli,
2009), Barber is featured as one of the most important young
photographers today, following in the tradition of Wolfgang
Tillmans and Mark Bothwick, who transformed snapshot photography
into a fine art practice.
For this exhibition, Barber will bring together a collection
of his works spanning his 15 year career as a photographer.
For Tim, this exhibition at YUKA CONTEMPORARY will be his
first solo exhibition in Japan.
Tim Barber is attending the opening party on Saturday, Feb
6th.
A talk event is planned at NADiff book store in Sunday Feb
7th.
Also, a book fair "Carrying the complete TV Books catalog!"
will be held in Utrecht book store "NOW IDeA" from
Monday Feb 8th to Sunday 14th, where his TV Books' zines and
posters are available.
